Onboarding Wizard Overview

After creating your account, the onboarding wizard guides you through setting up everything you need to start accepting bookings. The wizard takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Steps in the wizard

The onboarding wizard has up to 8 steps. Some steps are optional or may be skipped depending on the plan you choose.

Step 1: Create your firm

Enter your firm's name, phone number, website, and address. You can search for your firm to auto-fill these details, or enter them manually. You can also upload your firm's logo.

See Setting Up Your Firm for more details.

Step 2: Business hours

Set the days and hours your firm is open. These hours are used as the default availability for everyone on your team. You can drag the time blocks to adjust them, or click a day to open or close it.

Step 3: Choose your plan

Pick the plan that fits your firm. Law Booker offers three plans:

  • Clerk — Free, for solo practitioners

  • Counsel — $19/seat/month, for growing firms

  • Partner — $39/seat/month, for established practices

See Choosing a Plan for a full comparison.

Step 4: Complete payment

If you chose a paid plan, enter your payment details. You can also adjust the number of seats for your team. This step is skipped if you selected the free Clerk plan.

Step 5: Set up your profile

Add your professional details — your name, title, bio, and timezone. Your timezone is detected automatically but you can change it.

See Completing Your Profile for more details.

Step 6: Connect your calendars (optional)

Connect your Google Calendar or Microsoft Calendar so Law Booker can check your availability and avoid double-bookings. You can skip this step and connect later from your settings.

Step 7: Connect Stripe (optional)

Connect your Stripe account to accept payments from clients when they book appointments. You can connect an existing Stripe account or create a new one. This step only appears on paid plans that include payment features.

Step 8: Invite your team (optional)

Send email invitations to your colleagues so they can join your firm on Law Booker. Enter their email address and choose whether they should be an Admin or User. This step only appears on plans that support multiple users.

All set!

Once you've completed the wizard, you'll see a summary of everything you set up. Click Go to Dashboard to start using Law Booker.

Navigating the wizard

  • Use the Continue button to move to the next step.

  • Use the Back button to return to a previous step.

  • Optional steps show a Skip for now button — you can always configure these later in your settings.

  • Your progress is saved automatically. If you close the page and come back, the wizard picks up where you left off.

Invited team members

If you were invited to join an existing firm, you'll see a shorter version of the wizard with just these steps:

  1. Set up your profile — Name, title, bio, and timezone

  2. Set your availability — Your personal hours (optional)

  3. Connect your calendars — Google or Microsoft Calendar (optional)

Since your firm is already set up, you don't need to configure firm details, choose a plan, or set up payments.
